Sending rules are the numbers that keep your mailboxes, LinkedIn profiles and WhatsApp numbers out of trouble: how many messages a day, how long to wait between them and when they may go out. They are set per organization, so each organization paces its own accounts. You never have to touch them. Every rule has a default chosen to be safe, and an organization that never opens these pages behaves with the defaults.

Where to change them

Each channel has a Sending rules tab under Settings:
  • Email, then Sending rules
  • LinkedIn, then Sending rules
  • WhatsApp, then Sending rules
  • General, under Organization, holds the default phone country
Edit the values and choose Save changes. Discard drops your edits, and Use default next to a changed rule puts that rule back. Sending follows the new rules within a minute. Only owners and admins can edit; members see the page read-only.

Hard limits and safe edges

Each rule has two kinds of bound.
  • Min and max are hard limits. A value outside them is refused, so a typo cannot, for example, queue thousands of LinkedIn invitations a day.
  • Safe edge is the point beyond which the platforms tend to react. A value past it still saves, but the page shows a warning explaining the risk.
Rules that take a range (such as 18 to 24 minutes) pick a random value inside it each time, so activity does not follow a fixed rhythm.

Resolution order

For any account, AgentSDR resolves a limit in this order:
  1. The account’s own override, if you set one.
  2. The organization’s rule.
  3. The built-in default.
Overrides exist for three limits, listed in the tables below. Where a table says “when connected”, the organization rule is copied onto each new account at the moment you connect it, and later changes to the rule do not rewrite accounts you already connected.

Email

  • Emails per day is the starting limit for a newly connected mailbox. Warm mailboxes can send more; new ones should start low. Above about 50 a day from one Google Workspace mailbox, deliverability usually drops and Google may throttle it.
  • Gap between emails is how long a mailbox waits after each send. Sending more often than every 10 minutes from one mailbox looks automated to spam filters. Unlike the other two, this rule is read at send time.
  • Sending hours are copied to a mailbox when it is connected. You can change a mailbox’s own hours on the Mailboxes tab, in the Sending hours column.
  • Override: each mailbox has its own daily limit, shown on the Mailboxes tab.

LinkedIn

  • Invitations per day applies to connection requests, with separate numbers for accounts that have Premium or Sales Navigator and free accounts. LinkedIn restricts accounts that send much more than 30 a day, and free accounts have a much smaller weekly allowance.
  • Runs. The engine sends in runs: a random number of invitations from Invitations per run, spaced by Delay between invitations, then the account rests for Rest between runs. Follow-up messages per run covers messages to people who accepted, and Profile lookups per run covers profiles opened to find the LinkedIn member behind a lead.
  • Working hours are any time unless you choose Set hours. An account’s own working hours always win.
  • Override: each account can set its own daily invitation limit on LinkedIn, Accounts. The account’s value replaces the premium or free rule for that account, and the page marks it “Own limit”.

WhatsApp

  • Sending hours apply to campaign messages only. Messages you send yourself are not affected.
  • Warm-up. A newly linked number replies to existing chats right away but starts no new chats for this long. New numbers that message strangers on day one are banned far more often.
  • New chats per day counts conversations a number starts in a rolling day. Replies to people who wrote first are not counted. WhatsApp bans numbers that start many chats with people who do not have them saved.
  • Seconds between messages is the shortest gap between two messages from one number.
  • Override: each number can set its own New chats a day on WhatsApp, Numbers.
Whatever the rules say, AgentSDR never sends WhatsApp messages to someone marked Do Not Contact.
